| Responsibilities: |

Responsibilities Include:
Underwrites 10 HELOC, 6-8 conventional or 5-7 Conventional residential loans per day.
Identifies alternative financing solutions (as necessary) or escalates loan files to the Unit Supervisor for second-level reviews.
Works with Home Loan Representatives (HLRs) to negotiate alternatives with customers.
Prepares loan approvals, Notices of Suspense or Notices of Incompleteness.
Reviews incoming documentation within 24 hours of receipt.
Reviews escalated items from Loan Specialists and HLRs as needed.
Clears Loan Approval conditions.
Issues Notices of Adverse Action to declined customers after second-level reviews.
Updates system status as needed.
Reviews loan-to-value ratios, credit reports, applications and appraisals to ensure that each loan meets the secondary marketing guidelines.
Acts as a technical support resource for the teams, providing training under the direction of Unit Manager and Team Supervisors.
Maintains thorough knowledge of tax return analysis for self-employed borrowers (including corporations, sole proprietorships and partnerships).
Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Achievement of underwriting designation for all products (test cases submitted, etc.) within 3 months of hire.
2 years of underwriting experience.
Sub-prime experience.
Accurate knowledge of key secondary market investors.
Demonstrated knowledge of Investor product guidelines.
Excellent communication, financial analysis and typing (35wpm) skills.
