Main duties will include performing system level and procedural regression testing of scheduled software deliveries, adhoc testing and validation of software modifications made to resolve system discrepancies prior to the installation of those modifications in the production software environment, inter and intra-segment demonstrations, and conducting specialized tests of system upgrades and enhancements. Also, the successful candidate will be responsible for initial investigation and appropriate documenting of problems encountered during testing. The level of expertise for this position is at a salary grade E02, but qualified applicants with limited, directly related experience will be considered at an E01 level.

Requirements:
Security Clearance - SSBI, Existing clearance not required.
Positions may require citizenship for purposes of obtaining clearances. Additional clearances may also be required from the DoD.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Working knowledge of UNIX operating system. Familiar with software block delivery and testing process.
Ability to work assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication skills.
Working knowledge of Computer System Platform.
Working knowledge of C/C++, vi editor, and Framemaker.
Knowledge and operator experience of the following projects:
Cedar, Magellen, and Freedom. experience in interpreting software log extracts in order to isolate the source of a system problem.
Degree: B.S.
Major(s): Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Math - General, Physics - General, Experience can substitute for educational requirements.
