Start-up Small Business Lending Corporation, owned by 7 Financial Institutions, with combined assets in excess of $4 billion is seeking a President/CEO to head up this new Corporation in the Orlando, Florida area. Local Orlando area residents need only apply!


Responsibilities:    
The President / CEO Candidate must have the following qualifications:
  • 7+ years of successful Banking Commercial Lending experience in a lead senior management role.
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in business, finance and / or a related field
  • Must have experience in originating, underwriting, processing and managing the participation of commercial loans, and developing new commercial loan accounts with a bank, thrift or large credit unions
  • Possess the leadership skills necessary to directly manage employees of the company in accordance with established policies and applicable laws.
  • Experience in interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems
  • Demonstrate the credit management skills necessary to operate a profitable member business lending company on behalf of client credit unions; direct and control the commercial lending process and ensure that applicable policies and practices are followed
  • Ability to manage the account administration, credit extension, participation, loan workout and collections, and any business development functions
  • Must be a banking professional with team leadership, motivational and relationship development skills; community banking background preferred. Must possess excellent financial analysis skills and be able to adapt to Credit Union philosophy of service. Complete knowledge of all laws and regulations governing the origination, processing, and closing and participation of commercial accounts is required as is familiarity with the data processing systems required to evaluate, process, document and manage member business loans
  • Must be available to travel throughout the State of Florida when necessary

    Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Take a lead role in developing and implementing the processes and controls related to operating a profitable member business lending program to include the functions of originating, underwriting, processing, servicing, accounting for, and participating in commercial loans.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a qualified member business credit analysis and participation support staff
  • Originate member business loans on behalf of client credit unions
  • Become a commercial lending mentor to managers and employees of client credit unions and assist in the development of their small business credit skills
  • Develop an internship program for the "hands-on" development of credit skills of selected employees of client credit unions
  • Manage the member business loan portfolio to achieve desired service levels and account profitability
  • Manage risk and protect the interests of client credit unions by providing for a system of adequate documentation and adherence to the various laws and regulations applicable to member business loans
  • Make loan recommendations and decisions within the policy guidelines of client credit unions. Manage collection and loan workout processes when necessary to collect on delinquent obligations
  • Regularly monitor financial position of member business borrowers on behalf of credit union clients
  • Keep abreast of developments in commercial lending and ensure that the company offers a competitive service for member business account clients
