Directs transfer of information concerned with depot operations between Asst Depot Manager, Yard Foreman and office staff by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates. Coordinates with the Assistant Depot Manager and Yard Foreman the activities of workers engaged in loading, unloading, storing, transferring, and distributing materials in the depot yard. Supervises and coordinates activities of the yard foreman in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing items for shipment, stock control and maintenance. Supervision and coordination of office and sale support personnel. Ensures all yard personnel, customers and visitors are aware of and abide by company safety standards and procedures.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directs Assistant Depot Manager and Yard Foreman, when engaged in keeping records of material shipped (Goods Out) and received (Goods In).
Maintains company safety standard and enforces safety regulations.
Interprets job orders to Assistant Depot Manager and Yard Foreman and assigns duties.
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet changing order priorities.
Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
Suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
Maintains minimum stock levels of equipment and supplies.
Prepares reports on internal stock movements, requests for stock transfer, monthly depot expenses and petty cash transactions, and etc.
Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine order priorities and shipping schedules required to meet customer obligations.
Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
Inspects equipment for damages, assigns damage costs and notifies contractor of cost estimates.
Responsible for assisting in the hiring and training of new inside depot staff and conduct performance reviews of same.
Facility safety officer.
Coordinate monthly perpetual stock take and semi annual full stock take.
Train all depot employees in correct stock take procedures.
