The Environmental / NEPA Specialist will manage environmental impacts studies of proposed airspace projects in the Federal Aviation Administration Western Pacific Region.

| Responsibilities: |
|
|
In conjunction with FAA guidance, the individual will review environmental documents and provide critiques of those documents, prepare briefing papers and responses to comments on environmental issues, act as liaison (provide instruction and guidance) to a team of environmental consultants, and interact with high level FAA management and outside agencies.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Sciences/Management; Geography; Urban Planning; Engineering; Environmental Sciences; or other Science background with at least 2-3 years of experience.
An environmental background, specifically with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process and its applications (preparing/reviewing EA's, EIS's) is a must.
Knowledge of CEQA is a plus.
Experience working on aviation related projects and working knowledge of FAA's environmental orders, focusing on noise, is strongly preferred.
Superb oral and written communication skills are a must, as the individual will interact with a variety of different specialties including air traffic controllers, scientists and attorneys.
