A 40 store jewelry chain is seeking a Senior Jewelry Merchandiser!

| Responsibilities: |
|
|
Responsibilities of the Senior Jewelry Merchandiser include but are not limited to:
Overall responsibility for jewelry merchandising of products on Website.
Participate in the strategic planning with regard to acquisition of new products/ brands, promotions of existing storefronts and development of concept shops.
Responsible for achieving jewelry sales for assigned storefronts.
Define criteria for store standards regarding minimum and maximum storefronts.
Generate and analyze reports.
Assist in developing the monthly/annual sales plan(shared w/ core merchant)
Assist in providing weekly/monthly communication with core merchants/planners regarding actual vs. planned inventory and business forecasts.
Evaluate key metrics relating to the areas of site conversion rate click throughs.
Stay up to date on market trends, read relevant trade publications, attend jewelry trade shows when appropriate.
Act as liaison with central merchandising organization and other departments to ensure that products are receiving maximum exposure in all content/affiliate areas on site as well as offline.
Analyze performance against plan and make adjustments to the strategy to maximize performance
Manage and mentor support staff
Attend core merchants meetings as required
Minimum Requirements:
5-7 years experience in jewelry merchandising
1-2 years in a .com environment
Related category experience
Experience in a leadership role
Understanding of the jewelry merchandising process and product lifecycle
Ability to analyze reports and draw conclusions and make recommendations to the business
Strong understanding of the jewelry merchandising financials and metrics
Ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally
Ability to interact in a professional manner with all levels of employees and external clients
Ability to lead teams effectively
Intermediate to Advanced Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
Experience using an Inventory Tracking tool such as Retek
Experience using an Inventory Maintenance tool such a Dynacom
