The main purpose is to manage a functional/site PMO group, system and process improvement projects in support of Company's initiatives.
|
| Responsibilities: |
|
|
Responsibilities include:
Workflow Analysis and Review.
Gather and document business processes/systems requirements.
Make recommendations for implementing improvements related to business processes.
Review and analyze workflow and propose improvements
Process and/or System enhancement and implementation.
Gather, document, analyst and review business/system requirements from business owners and subject matter experts.
Evaluate/propose/design/acquire systems and applications for meeting business needs.
Recommend solutions to business and system problems.
Review data analysis for system conversions.
Create and/or review functional and report specifications for systems, applications and other deliverables.
Coordinate/communicate system deliverable needs to Project Managers and/or Systems Administrators.
Review and/or create test plans.
Coordinate and/or perform user acceptance testing for new systems and/or enhancements for existing systems.
Review and maintain clear testing documentation for audit trail and reference for future projects.
Track and resolve issues with users and project team.
Coordinate/communicate with users, System Administration and/or external team members (e.g.IS&T or contractors) to implement system changes.
Development and implementation of training programs:
Manage analysis of training needs and make recommendations.
Manage development of training programs.
Manage and/or conduct training sessions based on training documentation.
Project planning and management:
Create/review project charters.
Plan, create and review project proposals, project plans, resources and cost benefit analyses
Manage multi-departmental, multi-site projects varying in size, scale and complexity.
Guide and coach project team members to assure timely completion of project.
Evaluate success of enhancements, upgrades, or implementation and determine follow up actions if necessary to assure timely completion of project tasks.
Manage local/functional PMO group:
Administratively supervise project managers and/or staff.
Monitor and guide project managers in completion of projects.
Provide regular feedback to all group member.
Write or review annual performance reviews and performance achievement plans for all group members.
Support development; perform or review individual competency planning for all group members.
Participate in salary and bonus administration.
Determine position descriptions and staffing needs.
Participate in recruiting, interviewing and selection of staff.
Address staff-related issues.
Manage department planning and prioritization.
Assist in business planning/budgeting and monitoring of expenses.
Recommend/implement process/system improvements to increase PMO internal efficiency.
Maintain good working relationships with project team members, internal customers, and external service vendors.
Perform other duties as requested by department managers.
Job requirements
Bachelor's degree in business and/or information technology related fields:
Education/training (could be part of degree program) in:
Supervision, teamwork, productive meetings, communicating for results.
Financial Accounting.
Project Management.
Systems analysis.
Personal computer applications.
3 years experience managing medium sized Finance, information technology or workflow improvement projects.
Five years supervision.
Seven years experience, including substantial client interaction, in one of more of the following areas:
Business analysis for finance and/or information technology projects.
Systems analysis, development and conversion.
Securities, financial services, or accounting industry.
An advanced degree can replace one-two years of required experience.
