The company is an established, industry leading specialty retail store chain located throughout California and Nevada. At the present time there are 27 locations with plans to open several more in 2005. The Corporate Offices and warehouse is located in Orange, CA.
The company is currently seeking an IT/Point of Sale Specialist to work in their IT Department at the Corporate Offices in Orange, CA. Position will require travel, occasionally overnight, to store locations.

| Responsibilities: |
|
|
The ideal candidate will possess both an understanding of retail business and the related technology. RETAIL BACKGROUND A PLUS. Candidates should be highly motivated, dependable, and have a desire to “take ownership” of their duties to help the company grow and succeed. This position reports directly to the IT Manager.
MINIMUM TECHNOLOGY QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates should have demonstrated experience with the following technologies:
RETAIL PRO v.7/v. 8 or similar POS System
WINDOWS 98/NT/200x/XP operating systems
PC Hardware
OFFICE 2K/XP incl. high level of ACCESS and EXCEL
MS Exchange 2000
Veritas
General Telecom – Wiring, etc.
DESIRED TECHNOLOGY QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience / working knowledge of the following technologies are desirable:
POS/Hardware troubleshooting experience
ADP Pc/Payroll
KRONOS TimeKeeper Central
GREAT PLAINS Dynamics
RGIS Inventory
SQL/Oracle/Access databases
We have an immediate opening for the right candidate who possesses the following non-technical skills:
EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH NON-TECHINCAL END-USERS.
Possesses strong analytical ability coupled with creative problem solving skills
Is highly organized
Has the ability to ‘think outside the box’ and ‘see the big picture’
Has a demonstrated ability to work independently
Desires a challenging and fast paced work environment
Can communicate clearly and effectively with subordinates and Executive Management.
Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
Job Duties and Responsibilities will include:
End User software and hardware support.
Network Administration (26+ locations).
Daily Polling and data collection / communication.
Data Maintenance.
Building efficiencies through technology.
Backup/Restores of data.
Telecom / phone switch administration.
Other duties as needed.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
AA degree or EQUIVALENT work experience
