Your Retail Oil & Gas, Convenience Store Accounting Experience is Needed!
If you have wholesale fuel and lubricant distributorship and Convenience Store Accounting experience, our client is looking for you. Our client is diversified with multiple businesses including Retailing of motor fuels, wholesale fuels and lubricant distribution, production of Oil and Gas, Convenience Food Stores, Real Estate Development, public water utilities and Portable Storage and mini storage facilities who is seeking a Controller / Chief Accountant to report to the CFO of the company and supervise three divisional controllers.

|
The Controller / Chief Accountant must have the following skills / experience:
Certified Public Accounting experience is desirable. MBA will be considered if work experience is in Retail Oil and Gas or Convenience Food Store industry.
Must posses a degree in Accounting
7-10 yrs. experience including work in Retail Oil and Gas or Convenience Store facility
Process re-engineering experience or accounting and internal control systems review
Have managed an accounting department
Public Accounting experience is required
Must have very strong PC skills including MS Outlook, Excel and Word(a must)
The Controller / Chief Accountant’s responsibilities are as following:
Ability to juggle numerous responsibilities, meet difficult deadlines and supervise and collaborate with divisional controllers and operational personnel.
Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the financial statements
Investigate, understand and communicate financial results and trends to Senior Management. Recommend appropriate course of action when results differ from expectations
Work with Management and advisors to develop and improve Accounting policies, procedures and information systems, protection of company assets and loss prevention
Develop formal and ad hoc reports that are required to analyze the business and cash flow trends.
Responsible for G/L reconciliation and documentation, and year-end work papers
Develop into primary resource for the preparation of financial statements with accompanying footnote disclosures for external CPA firm
Plan and supervise tax department in the preparation of all county, state and federal tax reporting requirements
