Your Cardiac Cath Lab Experience is Needed!
Our client, a leading community hospital in Flemington, NJ is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab nurse.
The Cardiac Cath Lab RN provides quality nursing care through application of the nursing process and established guidelines of nursing practice. Specializes in the care of patient undergoing diagnostic cardiac catherterization, insertion of pacemakers, insertion of intra-aortic balloon, and will provide primary angioplasty for Acute MI patients. Candidate will specialize in the care of patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures in the Cardiac Lab environment.

The Cardiac Cath Lab RN's responsibilities are as follows:
Work in Medical Imaging Department(Cardiac Cath Lab)
Part-time
20 hrs/wk; Two ten hour days; Mon – Fri; plus lab call
Day shift
Associates degree required
Certification Required
Licensure Required
1-2 years experience is required
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. The major role of the CCL nurse is to provide continuous quality nursing care for patients during their encounter in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
2. The nurse is knowledgeable in meeting the physical and psychological needs of the patient.
3. The dynamic functions of the CCL RN include role model, patient advocate, medication and I.V. therapy nurse, depatrment emergencies, monitoring critically ill patients, liaison, documentation, resource person, in-service education, risk management, quality improvement, and cost containment.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Graduate of Professional Nursing School required. BSN preferred.
MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
A minimum of two years critical care experience, a current NJ RN license, and ACLS certification are required. Previous experience in Cardiac Cath lab nursing is required.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR ABILITIES REQUIRED
Must have Angioplasty experience. Certificate for Venipuncture, Intravenous Therapy; CPR, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Documented competency in interpretation of ECG, hemodynamics, and conscious sedation. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Good physical and mental health. Ability to provide advanced cardiac life support in department and during patient transport. Ability to work independently.
