Major Global company is seeking a Financial Manager for their Glenview Illinois office with the following qualifications and skills.

|
The Financial Manager must have the following qualifications:
B.S. in Accounting, CPA required, MBA desired
10+ years experience in Insurance Statutory and/or GAAP Accounting and Public Accounting required
Accident, Life and Health Accounting experience preferred
Advanced skills with General Ledger Package (People Soft Experience preferred)
Overtime required during Quarterly and Year-end closings, and on as-need basis
The Financial Manager's responsibilities are as follows:
Prepare Management and GAAP reports, including in-depth analysis of operating results
Develop new GL reports as needed
Key contributor for People Soft Accounting Program upgrade project
Complete and review all DPAC calculations to insure consistency and appropriateness of entries and assess balance
Manage external audit process including planning and communicating resource needs and timing
Review work of Junior Accountant for accuracy and improvement opportunities
Manage special projects such as review of the account reconciliation to insure any internal control issues are identified and addressed
Review of accounting literature to determine changes as needed to ensure proper accounting treatment
