|
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Human Resources Director are as follows:
Directly Manages / Creates HR Policy to directly support the efficiency, profitability, morality, and growth objectives of the Company.
Day-to-Day oversight of all aspects of HR within our organization.
Directly supervises two employees in Payroll and Human Resources Administration
Analyzes wage and salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation plan.
Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance.
Writes directives advising department managers of company policy regarding equal employment opportunities, compensation, and employee benefits.
Consults legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with federal and state law.
Develops and maintains a human resources system that meets management information needs.
Oversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization.
Studies legislation, arbitration decisions, and collective bargaining contracts to assess industry trends.
Writes and delivers presentations to corporate officers or government officials regarding human resources policies and practices.
Reviews store scheduling to ensure proper coverage within payroll guidelines.
Recruits, interviews, tests and selects employees to fill vacant positions.
Plans and conducts new employee management training regarding Human Resource laws, policies and procedures.
Keeps record of benefit plan participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as new hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations and employee statistics for government reporting.
Conducts management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance reviews, safety and sexual harassment.
Advises management in appropriate resolution to employee relations issues.
Responds to inquiries regarding policy, procedure and programs.
Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance and equity within the organization.
Supervises Payroll department to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
Supervises benefits program such as life, health, dental, 401K, Paid Time Off and leaves of absence.
Maintains Workers Compensation records.
Maintains wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rate.
Prepares reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.
Responsible for communication with Labor Board disputes, EDD and any third party administrators.
Represents organization at personnel related hearings and investigations.
Prepares and maintains job descriptions of all positions.
Coordinates safety program.
