We are searching for an Instructional Designer II (Math) in Weston, FL with teaching or research experience at the K-12 level. Extensive math curriculum experience is required.

| Responsibilities: |
|
|
Responsibilities of the Mathematics Instructional Designer II include:
Research, design, and produce instructional math content. This includes assessments and interactive online courseware development.
Contribute efforts in development of a math product from inception to implementation, successfully adhering to timelines, specifications and quality deliverables.
Research educational trends and policies, develop curriculum and pedagogy documents, assist in the curriculum decisions, and create storyboards and ancillary materials in producing web-based assessment and instructional software for K-12.
Provide ongoing instructional and subject matter expertise during all phases of the product life cycle, including validation of activity content and ensuring alignment to educational research and standards
Direct internal and external product developers, instructional designers, and graphic artists to meet project goals
Function as internal liaison in facilitating communication among departments to ensure coordination and optimization of quality and effectiveness for online and offline products
Guide cross-functional teams to develop and provide product definitions responsive to documented customer needs and market opportunities.
Stay abreast of developments and improvements in e-learning and instructional research.
Analyze partnering opportunities for complementary third-party products or technologies
Conceptualize and adjust product design for maximum effectiveness and utilization.
Transform objectives and instructional content into engaging online, interactive learning environments
Lead the analysis, design and development phases of the product development cycle.
Support the delivery and evaluation phases of the product development cycle.
The Skills/Competencies of the Mathematics Instructional Designer II include:
Curriculum expertise in mathematics, including thorough knowledge of national and/or state curriculum standards.
Demonstrated proficiency in instructional design principles and adult learning principles.
Skilled in using the current tools and technologies for developing media-based training products.
Ability to multi-task w/ minimal supervision and handle multiple priorities.
Excellent written communication skills (both creative and technical).
Able to work with and meet aggressive deadlines.
Effective listening and verbal skills.
Effective interpersonal skills to develop positive working alliances.
Projects a strong work ethic, energetic enthusiasm and interest in successful accomplishment for assigned responsibilities.
Flexible and easily adapts to required changes as demanded by unexpected situations.
Works independently in exercising judgment to complete tasks without supervision.
Awareness of the educational market and its trends.
Education
A Bachelors degree required, but a Masters degree in mathematics is preferred.
Requires strong knowledge of educational math theories.
Demonstrates knowledge of the Education environment, curriculum, and technology.
Minimum 3 years education-related field required.
