The Essential Job Functions of the Credit Analyst are as follows:
Spread financial statements on a spreadsheet program, calculate repayment ability, and prepare written comments to facilitate sound credit decisions regarding loan requests.
May prepare the Loan Loss Adequacy Report on a monthly basis: update spreadsheet programs with loan balances, past-dues, non-accruals, and charge-off information.
May prepare and submit quarterly reports for review by senior management: this includes Loan Relationships over $10 million, Hotel Loan Report, and Specific Reserve.
Prepare weekly and monthly reports to demonstrate companies financial progression. Analyze and interpret financial reports.
Attend work on a regular basis, on time, and withstand varying degrees of stress.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field or equivalent work experience; seven years lending experience and credit analysis experience. Must have completed a commercial credit training class. Must be proficient in spreadsheet and word processing software programs. Must have knowledge of companies Credit Policy.
Skills and Abilities
Strong organizational skills needed to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Must be customer service and detail oriented. Analytical ability required in order to gather and interpret data in situations where the problems are complex.
Physical Demands
The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. The employee will regularly sit, talk, hear and use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee will occasionally stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and reach with hands and arms. Special vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
