Provides Structural Engineering scope to support Area Architectural Services in development of products.

| Responsibilities: |
|
|
The responsibilities of the Senior Engineer are as follows:
Engineer of Record for structural component of residential product
Manage daily activities of engineering staff
Develop standard construction details for regional application
Assist Architectural Services in the value engineering
Observe field to address engineering and construction practices
Coordinate with municipal inspectors for correction of construction deficits
Manage outsourced structural engineering consultants
Review outsourced structural engineering products
Training structural engineering staff
Coordinate with internal disciplines (Purchasing, Land, Construction) to optimize work efforts
Ability to prioritize, coordinate and execute multiple tasks
Effectively manage self and group works efforts
Facilitates good, technically appropriate internal communication
Proficient in Structural Engineering Software (TBD)
Proficient in AutoCAD
Proficient with tools of Microsoft Office Suite
Required Experience
Ten or more years experience in production housing as Structural Engineer
Licensed Engineer
Advanced knowledge of pertinent national and local codes
Required Education
Professional Engineering Degree
