Provides Risk Management Consulting and Account Management Services to assigned customers. The Account Manager will provide, maintain or improve services while building professional relationships with multiple customer contacts.

|
The Essential Job Functions of the Insurance Account Manager are as follows:
Identifies service problems, program trends, develops solutions and delivers solutions to the customer within time frames that meet & exceed the customer’s expectation.
Establishes an effective relationship with the Owner/executive contact authorized to make decisions.
Establishes an effective, successful relationship with Brokers, Agents and Insurance Carriers or consultants.
Set-ups and coordinates new account implementation.
Negotiates renewal pricing; delivers renewal pricing, is able to achieve renewal goals for his/her assigned accounts.
Proposes and sells additional services by the company.
Overcomes service and pricing obstacles and achieves account renewals by developing and implementing Action Plans.
Is able to use loss cost savings to show the company as the industry leader in risk management services.
Resolves any account performance issues and develops meaningful action plans with the company's field operations to improve performance.
Develops and provides stewardship and benchmarking reports.
Manages and coordinates audits.
Manages and coordinates file transfers.
Manages data (hierarchy, file movements, etc) working with Client Services Administration.
Writes, updates and manages Tailored Account Specifications (TAS).Attends and assists with presentations for potential clients.
Assists with account receivables, collections.
Attends renewal meetings.
Coordinates client stewardship or partnership meetings.
Develops mutually agreed upon key performance indicators with assigned accounts to monitor performance.
System Reports – Able to able work in ACIS, Portfolio for Account Managers, EYE Advisor, and Document Direct/ Infopac with various client reports.
Performs as a liaison between the company's field operations, corporate divisions, assigned clients, carriers, brokers, agents and other representatives.
Trains new Account Managers.
The Minimum Position Requirements of the Account Manager are as follows:
Bachelors Degree in business, insurance, communications or other related field. Insurance Industry designations are a plus.
Strong verbal and written communications; extremely motivated, with excellent organizational skills.
Outstanding consulting, sales and negotiating skills.
Ability to work with a variety of personalities both internally and externally.
Understands property and casualty claims along with the handling process.
Good analytical skills; problem solver with strong customer service work ethic.
Minimum of 10 years experience in insurance, third party administrator or related field preferred.
High degree of problem solving and interpersonal skills.
Superior planning ability, creativity, flexibility and judgment.
Ability to analyze and interpret loss data in order to identify trends and discuss appropriate corrective action with clients. Knowledge of Windows, Excel, Word, Power Point, and Lotus Notes.
Requires excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, the company's co-workers and managers.
The Physical and Travel Requirements of the Account Manager are as follows:
The Candidate must be able to conduct on-site walk through of customer site locations. Must be physically able to climb stairs and ladders, walk and stand for moderate periods of time. Must be able to wear safety equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection devices and any other item of personal protective equipment that may be required at the customer site.
Ability to travel extensively by car, rail or plane and make trips involving overnight stays.
