We are searching for an experienced Area Manager in the Denver, CO Area!

The Area Manager has multi-line responsibility for profit and loss of a significant territory (Multi-million dollars in annual revenue) which may include a multi-state, multi-branch operation and the supervision of Assistant Managers. Experienced candidates only!

Responsibilities:    
The Minimum Position Requirements of the Area Manager are as Follows:
  • Demonstrated Management Experience (10+ years) including managing multiple lines.
  • Demonstrated Success in Sales, Revenue and Market Share Growth.
  • Budget, Profit and Loss and Business Planning Experience.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in maintaining profit margins in changing revenue environments.
  • Technical Background in multiline fields and weather-catastrophes.
  • Demonstrated Customer Service Experience.
  • Extensive Travel in Area.
  • Leadership Skills.
  • HR Development and Management.
  • Bachelors Degree in related field.

    The Area Manager's Responsibilities are as Follows:
  • Generate local sales and managing customer relationships and managing the quality of service for the assigned territory.
  • Aggressive, profitable revenue growth and market share improvement will be primary objectives.
  • Leadership and Human Resource Management including, hiring and retention of staff, career development and performance management are key.
  • The Area Manager will have responsibility for developing and implementing an area-wide business plan, sales plan and budget and will also participate in national and regional sales efforts when appropriate.

    The Essential Job Functions of the Draft Area Manager are as follows:

    Local sales, revenue and revenue growth – Develops and implements area sales plans in support of company objectives. Coordinates area marketing and sales efforts; partners with sales staff and RVP as required to capture new business opportunities. Strengthens industry and public relations through involvement with customers and participation in local industry functions and organizations. Conducts personal sales calls utilizing contacts in the insurance industry, cold-calling and referral-calling and marshaling the resources of branch managers general adjusters, etc. to meet local sales objectives, resulting in the generation of budgeted revenue, customer expansion and customer retention.

    Expense control and net-earnings generation – Prepares and follows annual budget. Directs and controls all financial activities of the area to achieve agreed upon contribution margin. Monitors and controls all expenses. Through effective expense monitoring and control, given the challenge of fluctuating revenue, achieves budgeted earnings and targeted profit margins.

    Quality - Responsible for area quality results. Achieves consistent scores of 95% on Quality Audits and measures of adjuster timeliness reporting.

    Customer service – Provides strong, proactive customer service in order to meet/exceed all business objectives and retain/grow current book of business. Monitors and controls service delivery, addressing customer concerns and perceptions to achieve a reputation for excellent customer service.

    Human resource management and staff development - Directs and manages area human resource activities to include hiring, employee development and performance management. Effectively hires, manages and develops staff members. This includes maintaining an atmosphere of dignity and respect, responding to employee concerns in a timely manner while utilizing the resources of Human Resources, Training, and Legal etc. to the full extent possible. Also includes special focus on the development of Assistant Managers, adjusters and examiners and the targeted-identification and focused development of an Area Manager replacement candidate within the area. Includes becoming well-connected in the labor market, bringing competitors and other appropriate talent into the Company.

    Corporate compliance – Communicates, implements and ensures consistent application of company policies. Full compliance with all corporate financial, human resources, purchasing and other internal policies and practice and compliance with all applicable laws including the required licensing of adjusters in states where required.
