A National Business and Healthcare College is seeking a Surgical Tech Curriculum Manager for their Santa Ana California location. The position is within the Education / Curriculum Department and will directly report to the Dean, Health Sciences.

This position will organize and track all curriculum requests, questions, and institutes. The curriculum manager is responsible for the development, organization, implementation and evaluation of programs they manage. Position requires individual to be self-directed and highly motivated.

Responsibilities:    
The Surgical Tech Curriculum Manager must have the following Education and Skills:
  • Curriculum manager must have a minimum of a 5+ years experience and a Bachelors degree or in the process of completing a Bachelor’s degree program with appropriate content knowledge to area assigned.
  • Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required with appropriate content knowledge to area assigned.
  • Possess superior written and oral communication skills.
  • Able to plan, implement, and track at both the micro and macro levels.
  • Possess skills in appropriate technological applications.
  • Employ excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with both internal and external constituencies.

    The Surgical Technology Curriculum Manager will have the following responsibilities:
  • Provide support to programs at the school level and guidance in programmatic accreditation and regulatory affairs.
  • Assist and Supervise in the development of a product strategy for each program within assigned disciplines of Health Sciences.
  • Manage the development of new programs, revisions, course assets and support (e.g., tuition funding models, lab and equipment specifications, faculty requirements, textbooks, test banks, instructor tools, etc.) for assigned programs.
  • Provide support to campuses in all phases of application, implementation and management of programs.
  • Train school staff, assist in recruitment/orientation/ training/evaluation of faculty, ensure access to texts and other course assets, assure proper set up and use of labs and equipment to conform to program specifications, liaison with publishers and other vendors.
  • Track and report curriculum requests for programs to Dean, Health Sciences, Advertising and Regulatory Department.

    Provide support with all Curriculum Institutes, including, but not limited to:
  • Provide support and assistance to programs in reviewing new and revised curriculum including research, conference follow-up of Curriculum Institute participants, and organizing instructional revisions.
  • Partner with individual Campuses and Regulatory Affairs to ensure efficient, timely and effective submission/review/approval of program applications.
  • Provides and tracks research in the regulatory requirements and compliance of program as directed by the department Director and/or Dean.
  • Provide program leadership to campus staff and faculty through conference calls and or site visits.
  • Develop curriculum and instructional approaches in meeting the needs of the diverse populations of the community.
  • Provide evaluation of curriculum and instruction approaches in meeting the needs of the diverse populations of the community.
  • Partner with individual campuses and Regulatory Affairs to ensure efficient, timely and effective submission/review/approval of program applications.
  • Other Administrative duties as directed by the Health Sciences Director/Dean in providing curriculum development and support to all Health Science programs.
  • This position will organize and track clinical placements for high end clinical programs.
  • Development of training for proper administration of clinical programs for new Presidents, DOEs/Academic Deans, Program
    Chairs and Clinical Placement Coordinators.
