The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting the CFO with the development and maintenance of costing, margin and productivity / profitability analysis models as well as compiling data on the direct and in-direct costs associated with the company’s operations. This position reports to the CFO.

The Qualifications of the Senior Financial Analyst are as Follows:
5 to 10 years experience in Accounting, Costing and/or Pricing.
Bachelors Degree in Business, Applied Mathematics, Natural Science. Masters Degree helpful but not required.
Very strong Excel skills (e.g. VLookup, HLookup, MATCH, IF, etc.) and working knowledge of Access or other Data Base software.
Able to learn disparate operating systems; query their data bases and bridge that information into useful Excel/Access files for analysis and reporting.
Enjoys detailed analysis and modeling.
Able to communicate effectively both vertically and horizontally within a diverse organizational structure.
The Responsibilities of the Senior Financial Analyst are as Follows:
Assist CFO with the development and maintenance of costing, margin and productivity/profitability analysis models.
Analyze and compile data on the direct and in-direct costs associated with the company’s Mail Terminal operations.
Provide periodic reports against the key budget and efficiency targets as agreed to by the company and their Strategic Partner.
Prepare periodic reports to management regarding the costs incurred by company and departments.
Develop and track the impact of fluctuations in volumes and pieces by product line and against Budgeted levels to quantify variances and their cause.
Assist the Accounting Manager and Staff Accountant as needed to assure a timely and accurate monthly close and accrual process.
Provide analysis and ad-hoc reports as requested by the President, CFO, Regional and General Managers.
Learn and utilize, as necessary Financial (SAP) and Operating Systems that support the day to day operations of the various terminals.
