We are Searching for a General Manager with Strong Mail Distribution Experience!
The General Manager is responsible for all terminal results and functions to include Human Resources, Cost, Service, Vendor relations, Quality Control and Logistics for the strategic direction of the operations budgeting, receiving, inventory control, dispatch, quality control and customer service delivery; evaluates, plans and implements cost-effective services for company clients and customers.

The Requirements of the General Manager are as Follows:
5 years experience in a management role with a combination of warehouse, fulfillment, transportation or related industry require.
BA/BS degree in Management or Engineering preferred.
Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks.
Strong analytical experience in direct/variable cost budgeting and capital equipment purchase analysis required.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
MS Office proficiency necessary.
Direct experience with staff scheduling in a variable work volume environment required.
Track record of strong leadership skills required.
The Responsibilities of the General Manager are as Follows:
Meet and exceed productivity goals established by company.
Cost control/P&L.
Maintain a cost-effective operation through proper manning and cost management.
Manage vendor cost vs. service value.
Maintenance of line-haul, courier, airlines, common carrier records.
Maintain / implement formalized daily, weekly and monthly operational meetings.
Conduct Time in Transit tests: vendor, line-haul, airline based upon strategic partner needs.
Vendor/operations/sales – liaison.
Service audits internal/external.
Conduct daily service audit walks w/ management team.
Develop friendly, yet business-like relations with vendors.
Address and monitor client concerns and needs.
Resolution of service issues.
Build and maintain USPS personnel relationships.
Monitor quality controls (internal & external).
Track service commitment levels, % effective.
Develop new quality initiatives.
Client/vendor coordination – pick-up times, closing times, pick-up points, cut-offs in coordination with our strategic partner’s central dispatch and logistics.
Tracking overtime and headcount costs; execute plan to meet company goals.
Timely processing of payroll and distribution of checks.
Evaluations – schedule and process timely through HR.
Address and resolve personnel issues/conflicts.
Development of staff.
Additional Information
Walking, bending, pushing, reaching and lifting up to 50 lbs (additional weight may be required with assistance).
Noise level generated from other distribution activity can be somewhat loud at times, but no damaging levels or protective equipment required.
Temperature in the distribution center can vary greatly from warm to cool.
