We are Searching for an Audio Visual Event Production Staff Manager!
The Audio Visual Event Production Staff Manager will manage in-house staff and third party staffing resources to insure that we have most appropriately skilled audio visual technical staff available for off site and on site client events at the most efficient long term cost to the organization.

The Requirements of the Audio Visual Event Production Staff Manager are as Follows:
Bachelor's Degree or higher.
10 years progressive growth in audio visual work experience including the supervision of audio visual technical staff.
Extensive knowledge of operating audio visual equipment which includes but is not limited to audio, data, lighting, staging, video, etc.
"Live" corporate event experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
PC proficiency including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to work independently and pro-actively.
Ability to multi-task and lift up to 50lbs without assistance and 100lbs with assistance.
Must have valid drives license with a clear record and be able to pass a background check.
The Responsibilities of the Audio Visual Event Production Staff Manager are as Follows:
Responsible for hiring, supervising, scheduling, training, evaluating, and disciplinary actions of in house audio visual technical staff in the areas of Audio, Video, Data, Lighting, Staging and Other.
In charge of coordinating the staffing of technicians for all these events using a combination of internal and freelance staff of 10-15 and external staff of up to 30-40 contract, local, and union engineers, technicians and stage hands.
The manager would work closely with a team of 6 event production managers and production assistants to maximize the skill sets of our internal staff and balance them with the skill sets of the sourced external staff.
The manager would also be responsible for the training and development of the internal staff skill sets.
Together with the Audio Visual Event Producers, perform needs analysis with client event planners to determine their individual standards for onsite productions as it relates to audio visual technician support.
Work with Audio Visual Event Producers prior to, the day of, and during events to ensure the proper staffing and make real time adjustments as necessary.
Be prepared to be a contingency technician on an exception basis which may include assist with room configuration, setup and tear down of audio visual equipment in addition to physical configuration (lifting involved) and connecting and interfacing all audio visual equipment
Schedule appropriate staff based on event requirements.
Actively assist Human Resources with the update of job descriptions and recruitment of new technicians.
Work with third party vendor and union labor sources to ensure optimum outside labor sourcing (cost, skill level, flexibility, availability, etc.) as required.
Audit of the internal staff timesheets prior to payroll.
Review and approve external labor charges prior to vendor payment.
Sign off on invoiced event labor charges to ensure all labor has been properly billed.
Documenting and retaining evaluations including but not limited to interview, needs analysis, training, coaching and counseling, disciplinary and termination.
Provide highest level of customer satisfaction.
Practice safety procedures.
Assist with other assigned duties as needed.
