We are searching for an Experienced Industrial Engineer in Rutherford, NJ!
The Industrial Engineer will review, measure, verify time measurement standards by process, improve process methods, maximize automation throughput and capacity, oversee and recommend efficient site layout, establish “Best Practices” to maximize efficiency, trouble shoot problems with production by working with General Managers and the Strategic Partner’s Engineering and Operations groups as well as develop automation utilization and cost reports. Experience in transportation, courier, mail, lettershop or fulfillment type environment are a must. Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering or higher required.

The Industrial Engineer's Requirements are as Follows:
Strong interpersonal skills.
Minimum of 5 year project management skills.
Minimum of 5 year operations experience in transportation, courier, mail, lettershop or fulfillment type environment.
Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering...Other Engineering degrees acceptable with equivalent experience...Masters
degree desirable but not essential.
Previous working knowledge of TQM, Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies.
Very strong Excel skills (e.g. VLookup, HLookup, MATCH, IF, etc).
Working knowledge of MS Access.
Able to learn disparate operating systems; query their data bases and bridge that information into useful Excel/Access files for analysis and reporting.
The Industrial Engineer's Essential Duties and Responsibilities are as Follows:
Efficiency Management.
Project Management.
Operational Analysis and Recommendation.
Operations Management.
Review, Measure, Verify time measurement standards by process.
Improve process methods.
Maximize automation throughput and capacity.
Oversee, recommend efficient site layout.
Establish "Best Practices" to maximize efficiency.
Trouble shooting problems with production by working with company's General Managers and the Strategic Partner's Engineering and Operations groups.
Analyze database trends.
Recommendations for operational change based upon database analysis.
Review, verification of partner databases and reports.
Development of automation utilization and cost reports.
Develop and implement strong maintenance programs.
Develop means of communication with field using reports, site visits, formal and informal meetings.
Identify, analyze, recommend improvement opportunities to reduce cost and increase efficiencies.
Provide engineering and economic support in capacity studies, workflow, methods and processes.
Develop accurate resource planning to manage staffing and maximize productivity.
Risk assessment.
Manage production, employees, quality process and transportation in accordance with company's policies and procedures to obtain optimal profitability.
Ensure a high level of staff morale and management/staff communication through implementation of a communication plan.
Recommend measures to improve production methods, working conditions, and increase efficiency.
Facilitate human resource management within the facility to include, but not limited to employee relations, recruiting, hiring, annual reviews and training.
Implement new standard operating procedures and train employees as needed.
Handling of special projects and project management.
Monitor and ensure that all facility equipments are working correctly and meeting production standards.
Act as liaison between the facility and the on-site postal clerks.
Keep updated on all postal rate/regulatory changes.
Oversee safety activities to include ensuring compliance with company's safety policy, employee training, reporting, and maintaining OSHA logs.
