We are Searching for a Commercial Construction Publication Sales Branch Manager in Austin, TX!

The Sales Branch Manager is responsible for strategic communication and decision making regarding assigned sales territories and will provide supervision, coaching, training and mentoring to individuals assigned to the sales team. The Sales Branch Manager will be tasked with maintaining performance metrics and providing reports to the Director of Subscription Sales as requested as well as working with Human Resources and the Director of Subscription Sales in the recruitment of Sales Reps and other performance issues of Sales Reps assigned to team. This position requires thorough knowledge of sales strategies, policies and practices, application of sales theory, strategies & techniques and have the ability to motivate staff to consistently achieve and exceed sales goals. Excellent communication skills and above average computer systems knowledge including database management skills are required.

Responsibilities:    
The Essential Duties of the Sales Branch Manager are as Follows:
  • Sales Leadership (selling and coaching) strong training, mentoring and performance/attendance management.
  • Study market trends and monitor industry competitors.
  • Approves & processes all sales orders/customer sampling/monthly commissions.
  • Responsible for achieving the collective monthly and annual sales cash in goals for the Branch team.
  • Supervises and motivates an organization of 7 to 14 sales reps. Leads by example. Provides counseling and on-the-job coaching for Sales Reps assigned to Branch team.
  • Has the primary responsibility of training and mentoring sales reps assigned to his/her work group.
  • Offers counseling, on-the-job coaching, and strategies in line with their own actions and sales metrics; Identifies specific needs of individual sales reps and communicates those needs to Director of Subscription Sales.
  • Maintains communication with the Editorial Department.
  • Performs administrative functions, including completion of personal sales paperwork, verification and process paperwork order forms, and HR related paperwork for assigned sales team to Director of Subscription Sales.
  • Work with Corporate Recruiter in the recruitment, interview and placement process.
  • Works with the Human Resources Manager and Director of Subscription Sales with employment issues of Sales team with regard to performance evaluation, disciplinary issues, and terminations.
  • Communicate and direct team in company policies and processes.
  • Performs other tasks as requested by the Director of Subscription Sales.
