"We are Searching for an Experienced Senior Estimator with Structural Steel Background!
We are searching for a Senior Estimator with 10 plus years experience. Our client has been doing business in Florida for nearly 40 years and needs an experienced estimator with knowledge of metals, bids, take-offs, estimating, etc. This is a management position and the Senior Estimator will be in charge of two Steel Detailers. This position requires strong customer service skills as the ideal candidate will be dealing directly with customers and contractors.

The Qualifications of the Senior Estimator are as Follows:
Minimum of 10 years estimating experience within the construction and/or structural steel industries.
Must be bilingual - Spanish and English.
Strong knowledge of steel pricing in today's steel market.
Ability to interpret contracts, specifications and contract drawings.
College is preferred, not required.
The Responsibilities of the Senior Estimator are as Follows:
Complete take-offs on medium to large size bid packages.
Good knowledge of AISC codes and standards.
Strong organizational, interpersonal communication skills.
Local experience with previous relationships with contractors a plus.
Miscellaneous metals experience.
Deal directly with the clients.
Manage 2 steel detailers.
Commercial construction experience.
Verify status of quotes and keep up with market and other trends to enable competitiveness.
Perform conceptual estimates.
Prepare bid packages.
Analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation.
