"We are Searching for an Experienced Safety Coordinator in the Natural Gas Industry!"
The Safety Coordinator is responsible for safety and environmental regulatory compliance, incident investigation, training delivery, contractor safety interface, and statistical tracking of incidents and exposure hours across a collection of Company operating areas. This position reports to the Director of Health & Safety.The ideal candidate must have safety experience within the natural gas industry!

|
The Requirements of the Safety Coordinator are as Follows:
High school diploma required, Bachelors degree preferred.
5 years experience with safety facilitation and leadership in association with the job.
Must have natural gas and natural gas liquid experience.
Detailed understanding of OSHA and DOT regulations and how they relate to Company operations.
Basic understanding of EPA (CERCLA, RCRA, CAA) and State environmental regulations as they pertain to Company operations.
Solid understanding of incident investigation techniques and the determination of root cause.
Presentation and meeting facilitation skills.
Understanding of calculation of safety benchmarks/ incident rates: TRIR, LTIR, SIR.
Able to understand and implement workplace safety requirements.
Possesses very strong organizational skills.
Willingly assumes the role of leader and mentor.
Possesses good communications skills, able to discuss safety and environmental issues with Company employees and Contractors of all educational backgrounds.
Willing and able to teach and advise less senior employees.
Functions well in a strong service culture and can willingly support Company field personnel at all levels and at all times.
Possesses strong time management skills.
Able to accommodate the 24/7 nature of field operations in serving the field organization.
The Responsibilities of the Safety Coordinator are as Follows:
Delivers safety training to area Operations personnel.
Observes and mentors Company Operations personnel in safe work planning and practice.
Leads or oversees tailgate safety meetings and Area safety meetings.
Performs investigation of incidents and identifies corrective actions.
Assesses environmental compliance with applicable State and EPA regulations.
Participates in Company safety and environmental policy and procedure development.
Acts as Company Safety Representative on a multi-area basis.
Assesses Contractor compliance with Company safety requirements and creates remedial plans to address deficiencies.
Maintains record of safety training delivery and updates central records for consolidation and reporting.
Maintains incident and corrective action tracking (HITS List) and follows up on corrective action progress.
Collects exposure hours and updates records for computation and internal/external reporting of Company incident rate.
Assists local Operations Managers in implementing corrective actions associated with incidents.
Participates in audits of Company safety and environmental compliance.
Assists plant operations with Process Safety Management (PSM) as an additional resource.
