We are Searching for a Division Director with Veterans Experience!
Duties of the Division Director are those of basic supervisory management functions. This includes budgetary responsibility, delegation of authority, motivation of employees, problem solving / decision making and communication on behalf of the organization, particularly to the Commission served by the Division, both internally and externally. The Division Director is also responsible for directing the respective division in all legislative endeavors.

The Responsibilities of the Division Director are as Follows:
Eight plus years experience.
College education – four year degree to provide basic familiarity with a variety of subjects.
Public speaking, creative thinking, excellent writing skills.
Extensive knowledge of veterans laws, regulations, directives and procedures.
Extensive knowledge of VA's benefit program and health care delivery system, ability to draft and execute resolutions with a clear understanding of the purposes and processes.
Ability to organize and manage meetings and personnel.
Computer training, software, budget and accounting principles, management and organizational skills, speed reading skills, human resource management functions and leadership and team development.
The Responsibilities of the Division Director are as Follows:
Directs the Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation Program for the organization.
Manages an annual budget in excess of $1 million.
Manages the VA&R mandates and resolution portfolio as established by the National Convention and the National Executive Committee.
Receives guidance from the VA&R Commission.
Drafts and presents testimony through legislative process on all subjects pertaining to Veterans Benefit Programs on behalf of the organization.
Maintains liaison with appropriate officials of the Department of Veterans Affairs and other Federal Agencies with an interest and impact on veterans issues.
Organizes and manages VA&R participation in National Convention meetings of the VA&R Commission, meetings of the National Executive Committee and the National Information Conferences.
Provides administrative support to VA&R Commission, National Cemetery Committee and the Veterans Affairs Planning and Coordinating Committee.
Prepares testimony and statements for use by the National Commander and other organization officers, when directed.
Serves as consultant on VA&R issues to organization Auxiliary.
Is knowledgeable of all aspects of veterans benefits and programs.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as directed by National Commander and National Adjutant.
