We are Searching for Casualty Underwriters!
A top rated Insurance Company writing liability insurance for residential and commercial builder-contractors is seeking casualty underwriters.

| Responsibilities: |
|
|
The Casualty Underwriters Qualifications are as Follows:
5-10 years liability underwriting experience required.
2+ years underwriting general liability for builder-contractors a plus.
State fire and casualty license.
Self-motivated, enthusiastic and a confident decision maker.
Excellent communication skills.
In-depth knowledge of lines of business and the legal and regulatory guidelines.
Solid Knowledge of processing methods, work flow procedures and basic knowledge of insurance underwriting and regulations for assigned territories including California.
Strong knowledge of liability underwriting philosophy, techniques, national / local filing, regulations and guidelines.
Knowledge of time restraints for quotes on new and renewed business.
Ability to effectively assess risk along with strong negotiation and multi-tasking skills.
College Degree a plus.
The Casualty Underwriters Responsibilities are as Follows:
Become familiar with company programs, book of business and underwriting guidelines.
Must be able to function effectively in a team environment under technical direction.
Underwrite and analyze new and renewal business.
Administer and monitor underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations and annual rating rules.
May provide guidance to lower level associates.
