| Responsibilities: |

|
Cosmetics Category Manager will be responsible for managing cosmetics and other assigned categories relative to the duties and responsibilities below.
The Requirements of the Cosmetics Category Manager are as Follows:
Merchandising & Marketing Experience in a high volume retail or wholesale environment with specific cosmetics buying experience required.
College education preferred.
Strong PC skills including Microsoft Excel and Word.
Some travel including overnight and weekend.
The Responsibilities of the Cosmetics Category Manager are as Follows:
Developing and implementing strategic plans for assigned categories.
Developing innovative and creative approaches to building the business.
Growing sales, and gross margin for assigned categories while optimizing SKU mix.
Maintaining positive trade relations and developing strategic alliances.
Partnering with the sales department to develop and execute customer specific programs.
Interacting with customers directly to build sales and margin.
Working with space management to execute the annual category review process for assigned categories.
Working with the replenishment buyers to maximize GMROI.
Managing the resolution of residual and slow selling inventory.
Interviewing and negotiating with manufacturers and vendors.
Developing proactive communication and assessing the need for immediate action.
Duties specific to the Cosmetics Category Manager.
In conjunction with our vendor partners develop best in class planograms to be used uniformly across the business while taking into account demographic needs.
Coordinate the twice annual reset process including fixtures and reset funding.
Manage the manufacturer deletion process in such a way to optimize customer communication that minimizes inventory exposure at retail and warehouse.
Maximize promotional funding to develop, execute programs and build sales at retail.
