"We are searching for a National Sales Manager with Exceptional Experience in Generators, Water Pumps and Air Tools!"

The National Sales Manager is responsible for selling products to businesses nationally. The National Sales Manager will bring in new accounts and service existing accounts. This position requires that the National Sales Manager develops and recommends sales programs and sets short and long-term strategies, prospects and closes new business, conducts sales calls, schedules promotional work and tracks sales activities on a nationwide basis. Additionally, the position requires that you familiarize established accounts with new products, services and developments to maintain market penetration. This position includes responsibility for the sales force and the distributors that sell the companies products and services. The national sales manager will report directly to the president of the company.

Responsibilities:    
The Responsibilities and Qualifications of the National Sales Manager:
  • 5+ years experience in selling power tool products on a national level.
  • MBA degree preferred, not required.
  • Hire, manage and train companies growing sales force.
  • Manage relationships with existing distributors and customers.
  • Coordinate companies participation at trade shows and ensure products and services are properly displayed and marketed to the attendees.
  • Coordinate territory seminars, which are key selling tools for existing and prospective customers.
  • Develop annual sales budgets and ensure that they are met when approved.
  • Develop and monitor the sales expense budget.
  • Develop a strong partnership with distributors and key customers and initiate joint marketing opportunities.
  • Have an excellent working knowledge of companies products and services.
  • Coordinate closely with the marketing department to ensure the sales force has the materials and information that it requires to promote products and services.
  • Attend quarterly management meetings and present companies sales performance against budget and make recommendations as required to ensure future success.
  • Successfully managed a sales force in the power equipment industry.
  • Demonstrated business skills related to budgeting, training, hiring, writing, presentation and selling products / services to clients.
  • Successfully worked in a small company environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication and listening skills.
  • Demonstrated skill in working successfully as a team member with a diverse group of people.
  • Capable of working effectively for an entrepreneurial CEO.
  • Capable of establishing and meeting goals and objectives for the sales force and distributors and key accounts.
  • Ability to analyze data and prepare succinct reports.
  • Ability to work effectively with computer programs — Microsoft Office.
  • Willing to travel at least 50% of the time.
